Lt. Col. Jeff Krusinski, the officer tasked with curtailing sexual assault within the U.S. Air Force, has been arrested in Virginia ... for sexual assault.
Krusinski, 41, has been charged with sexual battery. He was drunk when he grabbed a woman's breasts and buttocks in a parking lot, police said.
The Air Force has recently come under scrutiny after a slew of sexual assault cases were reported at one of its primary training centers in Texas.
"The victim fought the suspect off as he attempted to touch her again and alerted police," police said after the bust, which occurred early Monday.
The head of the Air Force's Sexual Assault Prevention and Response program has been removed from his post following reports of Krusinski's arrest.
In the assault scandal at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, dozens of female and male recruits alleged sexual harassment or rape by instructors.
It's unclear who the victim was in this particular case.
