Dancing With the Stars Recap: Len Goodman Loses His Mind

by at . Comments

If three's a crowd, you would not know it by some of the routines on Dancing with the Stars on Monday, in which the remaining pairs added an extra pro.

The trio dances added complexity, emotion, sass and sizzle ... well, mostly. Kellie Pickler's effort inspired a meltdown from judge Len Goodman.

For a few moments it looked like Kellie's brooding paso doble with Derek Hough and Tristan MacManus would match Zendaya's near-perfect effort.

Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli lavished 10s on the trio, but Len offered a 7 ... and some harsh words. And finger pointing. And insults at Bruno.

Even Tom Bergeron quipped, "Someone hose him down."

Kellie did end up with 55 points combined for the night - the pairs also danced a traditional two-person routine - good enough for a strong third place.

It was Zendaya's night, however, as she sparkled in a salsa with regular partner Val Chmerkovskiy and Gleb Savchenko that earned a perfect 30/30.

Following an impressive 28-point foxtrot, she finished atop the leader board with 58, just ahead of Aly Raisman, whose fiery tango and nifty jive totaled 56:

The three ladies look safe headed into the results show.

The three fellas? Not as much, though Jacoby Jones appears to have the edge among the male contingent, thanks to his raw power and enthusiasm.

Ingo Rademacher, who nearly got eliminated last week, continued to struggle, as did The Bachelor star Sean Lowe. One of the two is likely finished.

The Dancing With the Stars scoreboard in Week 8:

  1. Zendaya: 58
  2. Aly Raisman: 56
  3. Kellie Pickler: 55
  4. Jacoby Jones: 52
  5. Ingo Rademacher:48
  6. Sean Lowe: 42
