Star Trek Into Darkness Poster Stars Benedict Cumberbatch

by at . Comments

Many people still believe Benedict Cumberbatch is playing Khan in Star Trek Into Darkness, even though he's listed as "John Harrison."

But really though? John Harrison? Could you have come up with a more generic name to hide the fact that Cumberbatch will be playing Khan?

"Benedict Cumberbatch as...Joe Sixpax." "Benedict Cumberbatch as....Villain McMeanguy." We still think he's going to end up being Khan.

Check out Khan...I mean...Harrison...in this new Star Trek Into Darkness poster:

Why would an actor as well respected as Benedict Cumberbatch want to play an iconic character done so memorably by someone else 40 years ago? The whole notion is absurd, and there are other bad guys in the universe. People might think Trek fans have NO IMAGINATION!

Andrew-machiano

I say it's both. His name probably is John Harrison and when he goes rouge he will use the name Khan as a nom de guerre.
