Farrah Abraham's excuses are legendary, and she has defiantly defended her decision to make a sex tape ... well at least since she stopped denying it exists.
Yet a friend says it was a "desperate" move she made after she hit “hit rock bottom,” believing she had to stay famous and lacked any other options.
“Farrah broke down, that’s why she decided to do the porn,” the source says.
Farrah's not as troubled as Jenelle Evans ... but she's getting there fast.
“She is desperate for fame. She still wants to be as famous as she was on Teen Mom and she doesn’t know how to get that kind of attention back."
"She never wants the show to end because she needs it.”
The decision to film the Farrah Abraham porn seemed like a good one at the time to the reality star, but the source says she now knows it was a mistake:
“Farrah has said that she hit rock bottom and she felt like that was her only option, doing porn. She couldn’t come up with any other way to make money.”
With the backlash from her epic Dr. Phil interview, in which he basically told her how it is, and minimal interest in her sex tape, Farrah is still struggling.
“Farrah is working on acting, she’s still trying to get a singing career, which probably won’t happen and she’s trying to model,” says the alleged friend.
“She is still working on her food line, which really her mom does all the work and she takes all the credit, but that isn’t bringing any money in either."
"She’s even talked about putting Sophia in child modeling.”
Let's not even get started on the girl's music career ... although her debut single was, appropriately, titled, "Finally Getting Up From Rock Bottom."
Seriously, you have got to hear this song:
