Dancing With the Stars Recap: Wonder Who Was the Best?

by at .  Updated at . Comments

The competition is heating up in the Dancing With the Stars ballroom, and with Stevie Wonder performing live Monday night, the stakes were even higher!

Once again, Kellie Pickler, Aly Raisman and Zendaya were atop the leaderboard, with Kellie and Zendaya earning 10s for their respective routines.

Kellie and Derek Hough's quickstep to "Part-Time Lover" was "the best dance I've seen on season 16," the judges concurred, and gave them 29.

Zendaya and Val Chmerkovskiy's cha cha to "Do I Do" was "full of snap, crackle and pop," according to Len, and earned the partners 29 points.

Boston native Aly had trouble focusing in rehearsals in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings on April 15, but still earned 27 points on Monday.

Meanwhile, Andy Dick struggled through a samba, though the judges appreciated the entertainment factor and awarded the comedian 18 points.

Sean Lowe's 21-point samba was "riddled with mistakes," according to Len, while Ingo Rademacher and Kym Johnson's tango impressed with 24.

Also impressive? That Kym Johnson nude PETA ad. That's a perfect 10!

Jacoby Jones' quickstep earned 23 points, while Victor Ortiz scored a modest 18, leaving him at risk for going home on tonight's results show.

In the group routines, Team Samba - Kellie and Derek, Sean Lowe and Peta Murgatroyd, Andy Dick and Sharna Burgess and Alexandra Raisman and Mark Ballas - earned 25 points.

Meanwhile, Team Paso - Zendaya and Val, Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff, Victor Ortiz and Lindsay Arnold and Ingo Rademacher and Kym Johnson - scored just 22 points.

This week's scores on Dancing With the Stars ...

  • Kellie Pickler: 9, 10, 10 = 29 + 25 = 54
  • Aly Raisman: 9, 9, 9 = 27 + 25 = 52
  • Zendaya: 10, 9, 10 = 29 + 22 = 51
  • Sean Lowe: 7, 7, 7 = 21 + 25 = 46
  • Ingo Rademacher: 8, 8, 8 = 24 + 22 = 46
  • Jacoby Jones: 8, 7, 8 = 23 + 22 = 45
  • Andy Dick: 6, 6, 6 = 18 + 25 = 43
  • Victor Ortiz: 6, 6, 6 = 18 + 22 = 40

Maksim Chmerkovskiy: Retiring From Dancing With the Stars After First Title?

Is Maksim Chmerkovskiy retiring from Dancing With the Stars? He would certainly be going out on top.

Kellie Pickler is definitely sexy with that short hair. I enjoy watching her and another talented dancer named Zendaya. This season of DWTS is just as good as the 14th season last year featuring Maria Menounos and Jaleel White. The All-Star DWTS season (Season 15) was just boring to me.

Selena Don't get back with him he's just gonna brake your heart again

This seems like the first season where the audience votes click with reality. Entertainment is good but dancing is what the show is about. . . And if it continues, I completely agree with JBL.

Oscar is not comfortable on the dance floor and its very apparent, Ali is struggling a bit, Andy I think should stay, he tries hard. Sean, just can't seem to get loose and comfortable. Judges need to lighten up on Jacoby, you can see that he is pigeon toed, and is still good. Think that Victor will go home, I like him, but dancing is no his thing as you can see. He does try. Kellie and the young girl are fantastic, will come down to those 2 in the finals for sure. Toss up on who should win.
