Dancing With the Stars Recap: Who Came Alive in Week 5?

by at .  Updated at . Comments

Dancing With the Stars' fifth week of competition was a stiff one, as the remaining celebs had to perform routines simultaneously with another pair of pros.

A tough task, to say the least, but two pairs managed to shine.

Frontrunner Zendaya, 16, and her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, gave the judges what they wanted with a near flawless Argentine tango, good for 29 points!

Only Len held back on giving them a perfect score on it.

Fellow frontrunner Kellie Pickler also wowed the judges with her foxtrot with partner Derek Hough. They earned 27 points and sole possession of second.

It wasn't just the ladies who shined. Jacoby Jones and partner Karina Smirnoff had jaws dropping with the football star's splits and high jumps during their jive.

Joined by Smirnoff's ex-fiancé Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Anna Trebunskaya, the pair scored 26 points and sole possession of third place Monday.

Aly Raisman, who made such a huge impression last week, was in fourth place with 25 points and The Bachelor Sean Lowe was right behind with 24.

But not everyone impressed the judges.

Ingo Rademacher and Victor Ortiz came up short with 21 apiece, putting them both in jeopardy if the voters decide to throw their support elsewhere.

Andy Dick and D.L. Hughley were once again at the bottom of the leader board with 18 points each, leaving each in danger of going home tonight.

The Dancing With the Stars scores from Week 5:

  • Zendaya and Val: 29
  • Kellie and Derek: 27
  • Jacoby and Karina: 26
  • Aly and Mark: 25
  • Sean and Peta: 24
  • Ingo and Kym: 21
  • Victor and Lindsay: 21
  • Andy and Sharna: 18
  • D.L. and Cheryl: 18

I am not the best dancer, and I have not been the best dancer from the beginning. I am happy we made it this far.
