Parallel Entertainment, the production company behind MTV's Buckwild, has offered to foot the bill for Shain Gandee's funeral.
The day after this 21-year old reality star was found dead, his cousin said Shain's parents would have trouble paying for a service and had begun to organize a fundraising mud race.
But Parallel CEO J.P. Williams tells TMZ that "Shain was a great kid with a big heart who had endless love for his mom and dad."
Also hailing from West Virginia, Williams has made the offer and added: "This show reminded me of how I grew up."
A public funeral will now be held for Gandee on Sunday.
All proceeds that have already been given to donation websites set up in Shain's name will go either toward expenses incurred by his family during this ordeal and/or to the funerals of the other two bodies discovered on Monday.
An autopsy confirms that Gandee, his uncle and a third passenger died of carbon monoxide poisoning after the vehicle in which they were driving stalled and became buried in mud.
