Fifty Shades of Grey Movie Release Date: Summer 2014!

The Fifty Shades of Grey movie is reportedly set for a summer release.

Summer of 2014, but hey, what can you do. Let the anticipation build!

Adam Fogelson, Chairman of Universal Pictures, says the studio has "prioritized" the film and wants to have it in theaters as "early" as summer 2014.

"I understand why some people might take that point of view that the film won't be here soon enough," the movie exec said, explaining the timetable."

"But I don’t believe that EL James had any interest in rushing it into production. I don’t believe that the second or third film would have benefited from that strategy."

Also, he adds, "I think that there are totally legitimate questions about what this book is as a movie. I will tell you that it is an absolute priority for us."

"It’s conceivable it could be ready for release as early as next summer."

Obviously you can only fast track something like this so much. It's part love story, part romantic thriller, part cheesy Twilight fan fiction, part soft-core porn.

Not exactly an open-and-shut page-to-screen adaptation right there.

A quality film, whatever formula execs settle on, will undoubtedly set the Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed movies up to be even better.

So, better to just be patient. As for who should play Christian and Ana, EL James says she has some names in mind, though it's "not who you might expect."

If that means no Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev, we are gonna be pissed. Just kidding. Well, mostly. We'd be open to her ideas, but a little pissed.

Will you see the Fifty Shades of Grey movie?

Should it be rated NC-17?

Honestly, I think this movie HASSSSSS to be NC- 17. I'm 17, turning 18 soon, and i'd find the movie completely useless if there isn't any hardcore porn in it, exactly like the book. I was mad about Twilight because they didn't do exactly the same thing as in the book, and I expect 50SHADES to be 1000 times better. I'm almost done reading the 2nd book, heading to the 3rd soon. Oh yes, i'll defo be finished before the movie comes out, no sweat. One thing I want to point out though, concerning the cast - I don't really mind who they choose to be Anastasia as long as the person looks innocent-like with big blue eyes, NO MILA KUNIS PLEASE. Not that I have anything against her, just don't think she fits the "innocent role" well. Anywho, MATT BOMER IS A MUST FOR CHRISTIAN GREY. I don't see him as anyone else, and i've been doing my researches to find the perfect Christian Grey. Although I am a big fan of Ian Somerhalder, he doesn't seem to fit the role for me. And when I laid my eyes on Matt, oh lord. It was chemistry. He's the one. Please oh please cast Matt as Christian! I'll be devastated if they don't.

I believe this movie should be rated R not NC- 17. I am turning 17 this Summer and i've read all the books and I absolutely love them. If I wasn't able to see the movie when it comes out just because, i'm a month away from being 18, i'd be devastated.

The books were rubbish and completely unrealistic- not looking forward to this if the movies will be just like the books. They'd better make it more accurate and not romantically-adapted-abuse/rape.

Alexander skarsgaurd said it best himself, 'i was born to play this part'. With alexis bledel as his ana thats a movie id go see, anything else is a poorly planned twilight all over again

Ian Somerhalder definitely no one can play the part better then him I understand tht some people look at the fact of how Christian Grey should look put if you have read the book and it if you have seen the way he plays Vampire Dairies and not just that part but all the other parts that he has played as the bad boy you would see that he is the best choice.
