Rihanna and Chris Brown clearly spent New Year’s Eve together. In bed. What's unclear is whether that was the high point of 2013 for their relationship.
First, he was linked to Ayem Nour and Sommer Gargan. Perhaps more significantly, comments she's made have fans wondering if it all unraveled from there.
In the last three days, RiRi has posted a series of inspirational quotes on Instagram, where she is an active presence to say the least … all alluding to relationship woes.
Somewhere, Karrueche Tran is smiling. Maybe.
On January 6, her first one read, “I’m not a princess, I don’t need saving. I’m a queen, I got this s--t handled,” over an image of a girl adjusting a crown on her head.
Innocent enough, but the next day she added: “There comes a time in life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it … Surround yourself with people who make you laugh."
"Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right."
To that, Rihanna added the caption, “Bitch don’t kill my vibe.”
On January 8, she posted her most cryptic message yet, sharing with her followers this nugget of wisdom: “I believe in second chances, I just don’t think everyone deserves them.”
Clearly, the #1 second chance recipient of her life, and perhaps ever, is Chris Brown, the R&B star who unleashed such a furious beating on her nearly four years ago.
The 24-year-old never mentions Brown, who she recently reconciled with, by name … but perhaps not coincidentally, he deleted a pic he posted of Rihanna in bed on New Year’s.
If Rihanna and Chris Brown, 23, are indeed off again, it wouldn’t be the first time she used social media to not-so-subtly comment on the status of their relationship.
On December 18, after reports that the two had split, the pop star tweeted, “Being single sucks. The only thing I get to do anymore is whatever the f--k I want to do.”
So just what (and who) the f--k does she wanna do now?
Only time, and frequent Instagram updates, will tell.
