San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has made countless headlines for his play this NFL season, but his tattoos get plenty of "ink" as well.

What's the meaning behind the football star's (many) tats?

"The first one I got was Psalm 18:39, a scroll on my right shoulder. The verse is, ‘You arm me with strength for battle. You make my adversaries bow at my feet.'"

The 25-year-old added, "Basically, it's saying the Lord is giving me all the tools to be successful, I just have to go out and do my part to uphold that."

Controversy has broken out around the Baltimore Ravens, and not because Ray Lewis was once accused of murder or may have used deer antler spray to recover from a torn triceps.

Courtney Lenz, a 23-year old Maryland native, has been a member of the team's cheerleading squad for five years.

But she has been barred from the Super Bowl sidelines because she announced her retirement at the end of the regular season.

And with an online petition out there to reinstate her for the big game, Lenz has spoken to ABC News and explained how crushed she is by the development.

Cyndy Garvey, the ex-wife of former Major League Baseball star Steve Garvey, has sued UCLA - for the most unusual of reasons.

See, Garvey was once famous. She actually hosted a morning talk show with Regis Philbin before Kathie Lee Gifford and Kelly Ripa ever sat alongside the TV personality.

And in her lawsuit, filed this week in Los Angeles Superior Court, Garvey alleges that two honchos at UCLA offered to pay for the cost of her education if she enrolled in a Master's Program at the university's Public Health school.

At least three people were shot and wounded at an office complex in Phoenix on Wednesday, and authorities were combing the area for the suspected gunman.

Phoenix Police spokesman James Holmes said the people who were shot were taken from the scene to a local hospital; their condition is unclear.

Asked if there were any fatalities inside the building, one of several in an office complex at a busy Phoenix intersection, he said: "Not that I know of. No."

Ron Jeremy, best known around the world for his nine-inch penis, has been hospitalized for a major problem near another body part.

Mike Esterman, the porn star's manager, confirms to TMZ that Jeremy drove himself to Cedars-Sinai yesterday after suffering chest pains.

Physicians then examined him and discovered an aneurysm close to his heart. The condition has since grown more dire and the 59-year old will undergo surgery today.

The woman who called 911 to report that Rick Ross was being shot at was apparently pretty scared, which is understandable, given the stray bullets and all.

In fact, the Rick Ross 911 call is decidedly shorter than most because she hung up in mid-call, fearing the gunmen were turning around to fire again.

The call (and Rick Ross shooting) took place early Monday morning from a restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. The rapper tried to flee in his Rolls-Royce.

A woman inside of a nearby restaurant called 911 in a panic and reported amid the gunfire, "I just heard a bunch of gunshots go off ... and a car sped by."

Sources confirm that Justin Timberlake has been added to this event's lineup, joining such acts at the February 10 ceremony as Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Mumford & Sons, the Lumineers, Jack White, the Black Keys and Carrie Underwood

Timberlake recently announced his return to the music industry, following a long acting hiatus.

His first single, "Suit & Tie," has received mixed reviews and fans are now wondering: Will he perform this track at the Grammys? Or debut another new single in anticipation of his album dropping on March 19?
