Anyone with any real interest in the dictates of the Bible as interpreted by the Catholic Church would know that the same church is also totally responsible for the content of the Bible. These dictates vary from year to year but the current opinion dispenser is saying nothing more than "We originally said this is the way it is", and therefore "that's the way it is''! There is a long history of people in this world who said "It's so because I said so!" ...and went on to almost disappear from history. Looks like history will continue to repeat itself. I have a great deal of respect for the pontiff, but his opinion is no mor valid than mine.
Papa Benny didn't limit loving people. He spoke honestly about the unnaturalness of engaging in sexual behavior with someone of the same gender. And he is absolutely right! Whether or not you like it, whether you or not want to keep sinning in this way, whether or not there are poor marriages..... truth is truth. BTW, look up the meaning of justice and you will see he was right on that account as well. Justice is giving someone what is due to them. Marriage is not a right given to all people in all forms of unions.... it is a divine gift between one man and one woman for the purpose of procreation.
It's sad how people with such attitude still exist in this world and is worshiped by some. Logically speaking there is nothing unnatural about someone loving someone who happened to be the same sex. Even just looking at the animal kingdom it's only humans doing "eww it's unnatural". The only difference between hetrosexual relationship and homosexual relationship is the fact homosexual couples cannot have a baby but this age of time with overpopulation, adoption etc. that is not a problem at all. Their feelings for each other should just be as strong (perhaps even stronger since they are pretty much doing something that is against the "natural flow of society") as heterosexual couples. I really don't see what's wrong with them getting married. As long as they love each other they should be allowed to get married. The nature of marriage is Love. Not Female and Male. Plus heck, it's not like the heterosexual couples show a great example of a great marriage that this Pope talks so mighty about *cough*KimKardashian*cough* How come he doesn't complain about her marrying?
Yeah, cheating, television shows with a grand prize of winning a spouse, quickie marriages, quickie annulments, quickie divorces, and all the like ruin the institution of marriage. But you know what else is "unnatural"? -Electing a man as a gateway to God and worshipping him like he is God. That is unnatural.
