As previously reported, Ashton Kutcher will play Steve Jobs in an upcoming biopic about the late Apple founder, and the first image from the film has hit the web.

Check out Ashton as vintage Jobs, circa 1983:

Ashton Kutcher: Steve Jobs Photo

The film, jOBS (not a typo, that's how the movie title is stylized), will premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, which released the above image yesterday.

Outfitted in a button-down shirt, jeans, and a goatee, the Two and a Half Men star leans against a desk in front of an IBM poster with the slogan THINK.

Physically at least, he bears an uncanny resemblance to Jobs. Not convinced? Follow the jump and see the actual Steve Jobs photo upon which this is based:

It's hard to envision Pope Benedict XVI cranking out musings on his iPhone 5 every 20 minutes, but the pontiff has officially joined Twitter, according to reports.

At the age of 85, the Pope himself is about to be launched into the brave new world of social networking, complete with the official handle of “@pontifex”.

Pope Benedict XVI

@pontifex already has 360,000+ followers and has yet to Tweet once. Badass.

It's easy to see why the Catholic Church, which has struggled to connect with teenagers and young adults (as have all religions) launched this initiative.

Last week, in the spirit of bipartisanship, Barack Obama invited his vanquished Republican rival Mitt Romney to the White House for lunch at the Oval Office.

Also known as the Man Cave.

The President has gradually transformeded the Oval into a far less stuffy place. Out are those archaic floral couches. In are the sporting goods and flat screens!

Michelle must not allow him to make decor choices anywhere else.

Former LA Ink star Kat Von D was granted a temporary restraining order today against a crazed fan she claims has been stalking her in person and via Twitter.

Colombian pop superstar Shakira is being sued for $100 million by ex-boyfriend Antonio de la Rua, who claims he acted as her business manager for years.

He claims he was the "principal architect" of a business plan that turned her into an icon and seeks to "recover his share of past and future partnership profits."

Shakira and Antonio De La Rua

In a separate case, Shakira is suing de la Rua for misappropriation of funds.

Her legal case, filed in the Bahamas in October, accuses him of paying himself an unauthorized bonus and using funds from their business for personal expenses.

Antonio de la Rua denies the allegations. His legal papers, however, provide a rare insight into the intricacies of sustaining a global pop career such as Shakira's.
