Notorious B.I.G. Autopsy Report: Released in Graphic Detail

The Notorious B.I.G. (real name Christopher Wallace) sustained four gunshot wounds the night he was murdered in L.A. back in 1997, according to a just-released autopsy report.

Wallace, who was listed at 6'1" and 395 lbs., was struck a total of four times in a drive-by shooting by a still-unknown assailant on Los Angeles' Wilshire Blvd.

He was only 24.

As he sat in the passenger seat of a Chevy Suburban, Biggie was ambushed by bullets from the car alongside him. The first three, it turns out, were not fatal:

  1. Struck Wallace in the left forearm and traveled down to his wrist.
  2. Struck Wallace in the back, missed all vital organs, and exited through his left shoulder.
  3. Struck Wallace on his outer left thigh and exited through his inner left thigh.

After the third bullet exited the thigh, the autopsy report states that "the projectile strikes the left side of the scrotum, causing a very shallow, 3/8 inch linear laceration."

The fatal bullet was the fourth and final gunshot.

That entered Wallace's body through his right hip and tore its way through several of his vital organs before finally coming to rest in his left shoulder area.

The bullet perforated Wallace's colon, liver, heart and left lung.

Immediately after the shooting, the Notorious B.I.G. was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital, where doctors performed an emergency thoracotomy to no avail.

Wallace was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

All four gunshots traveled through the Suburban passenger door before striking Wallace; two were found on the gurney that transported him to the hospital.

Another bullet was discovered at the hospital when the body of the deceased rapper was turned over after doctors had tried and failed to save him.

The coroner listed Wallace as "morbidly obese."

A toxicology test revealed Wallace had no traces of drugs or alcohol in his system at the time of his death; Wallace's body was later ID'd by his mother and wife.

The autopsy report also lists one interesting, handwritten note under the section "Other Pertinent Information", reading: "Decedent may be rap singer."

So you have a "morbidly obese" dude in the passenger seat of a suburban, a car pulls up alongside the passenger side and starts shooting into the suburban, only one person gets shot. The autopsy says 3 bullets entered from the back and left but the fatal bullet entered from the right. My question is who was shooting at BIG from the inside of the car cause we all know there are no such thing as magic bullets; therefore the shots that came from the left could not have come from the dude that pulled up beside them. Well at least now it makes sense that nobody else in the car could or wanted to identify the shooter. smh

The medical chief of staff (autopsy) should really look at CSI...BIG was a big dude...struck on the left side (thigh & forearm)) from 4 shots from his right side a suburban......US automobile.... is this a lets say anything to them ...I have degrees not in forensic but I know a lil bit....

How could three bullets enter the left and one from the right? I thought it was a drive by??? I don't really follow shootings or rappers...

Im sorry but there is no way he got shot and somehow you dont know who killed him but kim kardasian had someone locked up on sight for some dumb shit racist and Illuminati I think thats just my opinion

I don't really care much for rap music. I am sure he had very little in the way of money because that is how the music business is. It takes a long time before the artist really makes money. The record companies dress up the artists and chauffeur them around to give the illusion that the artist is wealthy. I am a big guy myself so I was pleased in that he made us overweight guys sexy and popular. Too bad he died for nothing. This black on black crime over turf is foolishness.

@ Felix Scott

"This black on black crime over turf is foolishness."
That's more information about the killers than the police have. WOW!
Are you in law enforcement? "This black on black crime over turf is foolishness."
So then crime between other races is acceptable?

Needless to say that Christopher Wallace was assassinated... by whom? somebody who is supposed to protect him.

Phuck hip hop and all them lames who support that bs.My people really are some dumb mf's.Thats why they call us D.A.N. (DUMB AZZ NIGGAS)

Sorry. All this fool did was glorify the lousy, filthy place his mother raised him in and degraded and objectified the women he should have been taught to respect. He died for absolutely nothing, left absolutely no legacy at all. The only thing that people like him, L'il Wayne, 2 Chains and all the rest do and have done is made it even harder for those of us who want to make something of our lives to be taken seriously. He lived a minstrel show. Period.

No Legacy? Man, are you deaf, dumb and blind? Or just fuckin dumb?

The decedent that might be the rap singer has always been question?

He rhymed about riches so much that some people actually thought he was rich. After his death his mom & daughter has money to not live in poverty but u wont see them in mansions and bentleys. I hope his daughter receives her degree from penn state and becomes productive and stable/successful. I hope his mom feels the freedom from the pain of losing her son too early. And....that his son stays far away from rapping!

@ Tito171

How do you know what he had and what he left his family.
