LeAnn Rimes: I Was NOT DRUNK on X Factor!
by Free Britney at .LeAnn Rimes swears she was not drunk on The X Factor last night, despite a head-scratching performance and a lot of speculation regarding it.
The 30-year-old strongly denies earlier celebrity gossip reports that she was impaired during her duet with finalist Carly Rose Sonenclar on Wednesday.
The singer was "in no way impaired," and any awkwardness was from "trying to help this 13-year-old girl who was having some trouble with the song."
LeAnn, through her lawyer Larry Stein, said Carly was nervous and had difficulty with some of the notes, and she was doing her best to help her through it.
Her performance seemed over-the-top to many, almost as if LeAnn were trying to upstage Carly, but her camp says people are reading too much into it.
Stein says that "LeAnn was not performing the way she would normally perform," but adds that it was only "because she was on stage with a young girl."
LeAnn does not understand the speculation, but Stein theorizes, "There have been a lot of untrue things said by others and it feeds into this sort of thing."

Ha Ha everyone thinking she was drunk, that explains why her hair looked dry and scraggly
LeAnn Rimes is a loser with a failed career. She tried to upstage Carly Rose during their duet, & should feel responsible for Carly Rose losing X Factor....Tate Stevens, while having a nice country voice, is no superstar & borders on ordinary...the 13-year old should have won the recording contract.
I thought Leanne was emotional, I think it makes sense what she said, I am a singer, and I know how these things can go! That being said I thought Leanne performance was great, not perfect, perhaps--we always tend to compare with studio recordings--this was live, so you only get one shot at it...I thought Carlyrose was wonderful, but not perfect by any means, but hey--she is 13. I noticed she started doing some strange things vocally in the last few episodes of the show--if I had been her coach I would have worked on that--watched for it--it was apparent she was not doing quite as well as she had been, in MGO
Leann was not drinking or drunk what the hell is wrong with you people. She wasn't trying to outsing Carly Rose. Common now the winner was determined before they even sung together. I thought the performance was great. You all need to lay off the lies and rumors. The winner was chosen and it was Tate Stevens long before that song with Carly and Leann was ever sung. So get over it. Congratulation to Tate Stevens for a win well deserved. Carly you will be a star no matter what you don't need a competition to win to be who you are.
I agree. It was very uncomfortable to watch this duet from LeAnn side. LeAnn looks like was not in a best condition. It was a strange to see how she performed and I think it can have impact on a voting. Any way Carly will have a great future. XFACTOR should better check who they are invited to sign with contenstants on a final show. LeAnn was not a right choose for Carly at all.
