A friendly afternoon on the links for Olympic skier Bode Miller took an unfortunate turn this week ... when he hit his hot model wife in the FACE with a golf shot.
The injured Morgan Beck, who is also a pro volleyball player, described it on Twitter.
"I'm not feeling so hot. Line drive to the face today with a golf ball from my darling husband," she wrote, while posting a GRAPHIC image of her injury (below) ...
The injury resulted in dozens of stitches, but Bode Miller's wife tweeted Thursday night that she was already discharged from the hospital, and in good spirits.
She credited the impact-resistant sunglasses she was wearing at the time.
"A huge thank you to @Kaenon," the surprisingly positive Beck added. "By absorbing a 160 mph line drive I only got 50+ stitches instead of losing my eye #lucky."
Miller, 35, who won medals in skiing for the United States at both the 2002 and 2010 Olympics, joked about the incident on his Twitter as well.
"I played my first round of golf left-handed yesterday," he said. "It was pretty amazing. Los of terrible shots for my wife to laugh at."
Laugh may not be the first word that comes to mind ... but we're glad she's okay.
