It's a red hot success, but why did Taylor Swift actually name her new album "Red?"
It's a good question, and it's one the superstar answers this Sunday on VH1's Storytellers. Unsurprisingly, there's a male involved...
Swift says the CD's title track is about "this relationship that I had that was, like, the worst thing ever and the best thing ever at the same time.
"I was writing this song and I was thinking about correlating the colors to the different feelings I went through."
Okay. So, again, we ask: Why "Red?"
"You have the great part of red, like the red emotions that are daring and bold and passion and love and affection. And then you have on the other side of the spectrum, jealousy and anger and frustration and you didn't call me back and I need space."
Who knew a color could be so multi-layered?!?
Swift's special, which was recorded at Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California premieres on November 11 (11 p.m. ET) and will be followers by Storytellers with Alicia Keys (November 12) and Pink (November 13).
