Rick Santorum Website Features Pic of Moot (Chris Poole) From 4Chan

by at . Comments

This is either a classic trolling effort or a Grade A screw-up from the peeps in charge of Rick Santorum's website. There's a pic of Moot from 4Chan on it!

Moot and Santorum

Patriot Voices, uber-conservative Santorum's site, is ripe with partisan vitriol. Standard.

If you navigate it, however, a pop up box appears with different faces alongside Rick's.

One of those seemingly random pictures is of Chris Poole, a.k.a. Moot of 4chan fame.

The photo is the same one used on Poole’s Wikipedia page. Pretty hilarious all around.

Prominently featuring a photo of the 20-year-old at the heart of what is considered one of the web’s most anarchic and influential message boards?

Whoever snuck that photo into the Rick Santorum database deserves a beer. Not that they serve that at Santorum HQ we're guessing. But respect.

How'd it happen? Read some theories at BetaBeat.
