Powerball Jackpot Unclaimed, Up to $425 Million

by at . Comments

No one claimed the estimated $325 million Powerball jackpot Saturday, setting up the possibility of a record $425 million winner in the multi-state lottery Wednesday.

The Powerball numbers for Saturday were 22-32-37-44-50, and the Powerball was 34.

Obviously, no one picked it. The jackpot was the fourth largest in the game's history.

Lottery officials said the Wednesday Powerball total could soar above their current estimate of $425 million as people seek the potentially epic payoff.

A single winner Wednesday choosing a lump sum over the 30-year annuity would have gotten a check for $278.3 million. A nice stocking stuffer.

The previous top prize was $365 million, won by eight Nebraska meat packing plant workers in 2006. Earlier this year, MegaMillions' jackpot reached $656 million.

You in for the lotto this week? We're playing 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and Powerball 42.
