Geno Hall, a former high school football star, was shot at a Halloween party at USC this week. He is in critical but stable condition after sustaining seven bullet wounds.

He was apparently the target of the shooting; the motivation is unclear.

Hall is recovering in the intensive care unit at California Hospital after sustaining bullet wounds in the left thigh, back of leg, buttocks and arm, said his father, Eugene Hall.

The X Factor went from 16 to 12 tonight, as four contestants - one from each group - were sent packing. In somewhat complicated fashion.

First, each judge deemed two singers from his/her troupe to be safe; they went straight to the next round. Then, the remaining pair of hopefuls sang against each other for their X Factor lives.

Take CeCe Fry, for example, who belted out this beautiful version of “Out Here On My Own."

So, who got the axe? The following quartet was eliminated:

  • Sister C

We're talking about the euphemism for the drug known as marijuana, people.

RiRi donned her costume for a party she hosted in W. Hollywood, which also featured Chris Brown dressed like a terrorist and a bunch of other stars.

Gaga took her mind off Hurricane Sandy at a Puerto Rico bash, Tweeting, "BEST COSTUME EVER ITS SO FUN. Princess High the Cannabis Queen!"

Jaden Smith has gone ahead and gotten his Justin Bieber on.

The 14-year old - who is good pals with the Biebs and performed with him at the 2011 Grammys - released a version of Justin's "Love Me Like You Do" via Twitter earlier this week.

"Ohh Snap #WeMadeIt #LoveMeLikeYouDo," the young rapper posted along with this video. What do you think of the remix?

Sources tell Radar Online that the Anger Management star has returned to the drug and hooker-fueled lifestyle that he formerly referred to as "winning."

The upcoming Star Wars Episode 7 will to a lot more good than satisfy legions of fans: Most of the $4 billion George Lucas will get from selling Lucasfilm to Disney will go to charity.

Lucas "has expressed his intention, in the event the deal closes, to donate the majority of the proceeds to his philanthropic endeavors,” a rep for the filmmaker said.

The 68-year-old heads the George Lucas Educational Foundation, which primarily focuses on educational issues. He once donated $175 million to his alma mater, USC.

Major respect for the huge charitable giving from the film icon.

As for Star Wars Episode 7 ... are you excited for what?!
