NBC has scheduled a very special event for Friday night.

The network - along with affiliates Bravo, CNBC, E!, G4, MSNBC, Style, Syfy and USA - will telecast "Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together," a telethon hosted by Matt Lauer that will raise money for the American Red Cross's relief efforts across regions hit by the storm.

Superstorm Sandy

Broadcast live on the East Coast and tape delayed out West, the event will take place at 30 Rockefeller Plaza and feature such acts as Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, plus Sting and Christina Aguilera.

In a press release, NBC said "additional networks could join the broadcast of the telethon prior to airtime."

I would not expect anything less from an Obama supporter. You no longer can argue so you use my user in the hopes that you can somehow throw a wrench into my message. Obama will lose and I've never been more certain of anything else. Obama has said many times over that he will not do anything until after the election. Hurricane help is another Obama delay. The truth is easy to explain and to take 6 weeks to explain Libya is nothing more than people trying to get their lie straight. Don't hate Romney because he is successful. Hate yourself because you've been brainwashed. You are weak and that's the reason for your failure. No one watches NBC and the lack of contributions will be obvious.

Mitt Romneys wife says "you people" don't need to see their tax returns then scams a $75,000 tax deduction from the IRS for a "therapy horse". ...Let them eat cake...

Mitt Romney said during the primaries he will dismantle FEMA, now he ignores direct questions about that. Was he wearing flip flops all summer? Is his Mormon church helping Sandy victims?

To the imposter! It hurts doesn't it- the truth I mean. To be affiliated with MSNBC/NBC in any form is a disgrace. @Darby- lets see if I've got this straight! Networks claim that Romney is out there on food drives in Ohio and MSNBC says that it's a political move on his part! Then they say that the Red Cross doesn't really want his help- he's just in the way. SO! The same could be said for any Republican because that's is how we take it! You people have spent the last year with Al Sharpton calling us racist, your gays calling us "Homophobe" as their dumbass ass protests Chick-Fil-A and your Networks refuse to present News in a unbiased way and now your telling me that for the " Time Being" it's time to put it down. It's a shame it's come to this but when you have NBC who has been caught editing news twice this year then creditably is at a low! You want help- in 5 days vote for a Republican.

Mitt Romney said his church helps everyone in need. You only have to ask their Bishop.

A Telethon? Put on by a bunch of communist Obama Networks? In which no one in the North East can watch because they have no power? As a result the only viewers left are people that will not stoop to watch NBC OR CNN OR MSNBC. Ive got "RED HOT" NEWS FLASH for your Telethon- OBAMA COULDN'T EVEN HELP 4 FREAKING AMERICAN PEOPLE IN LIBYA so how the hell do you think he would help in this case!

Get over yourself! People really need this assistance and now! Politicizing Americans helping each other is stupid, selfish and unconscionable.
