Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries: Klashing Over 20.5 Karats?

Lawyers for both halves of this estranged couple met in court yesterday, with Kim's representative complaining that her client is "handcuffed" to Humphries - and not in the usual Kim Kardashian way!
So... what the heck is the hold-up here?
"Kris is adamant that he wants the [engagement] ring back," a source tells Radar Online. "And it's becoming a real sticking point between his and Kim's attorneys...
"Kris contends that the marriage was a total sham and that Kim only wed him for publicity so therefore she has no right to keep such an expensive gift."
The gift in question cost around $2 million and is 20.5 carats in size.
Why would Kim even want to keep it, Humphries allegedly wonders.
Why would Kris care, we can shoot back. The guy makes millions of dollars a year playing basketball for a living... when he isn't getting ejected from games, that is.
It's just another wrinkle in the Kim Kardashian divorce case that will last until February 15th at the earliest. That's when a judge has set the next hearing.

Kim needs to return the ring. She choose not to stay married. Why else would she want it if it wasnt worth 2 million
I honestly don't see a reason why people get married and one day think of divorce.who ever gave humans such rights.when marriage was constituted divorce wasn't atcached.Advising Kim to return the ring or Kim take it is ridiculous.try to save your marriage.being in the limelight and celebrity has its consequences. Blaming kris or Kim won't do them any good .whatever happened to in sickness and health till death do us apart.maybe your not Christians and dnt think of what happens after earth .don't keep reminding them of their past no matter how bad it is you guys should work on yourselves
Honestly if Kim K wanted to be done with Kris H, she would return the ring. Apparently greed and pride has interfered with her mind. It's all about money for her, get over it, she will , one day be like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan, all washed up. Her claim to fame was sex tape with Ray J and showing off her ASSets, come on vanity. All that fades.

An engagement ring is, in most states, considered to be a conditional gift. I believe she would be required to give the ring back due to the dissolution of their marriage.
