Dwight Howard Custody Battle: Royce Reed Wants NBA Star to Pay Legal Bills

Los Angeles Lakers star Dwight Howard and ex Royce Reed are still embroiled in a bitter custody battle about their son - one she feels he should pay for.

Royce, who you may remember from VH1's Basketball Wives, wants Howard to pick up her legal bills as he seeks to gain sole custody of their young son.

According to TMZ, Howard earns $1.3 million per month and should pay her bills, otherwise the legal fight isn't really a fight, as she can't afford it.

Her lawyer says she’s racked up a $44,113.50 bill and can expect her total case to cost $106,621.80 ... a drop in the bucket for Dwight. Not for her.

Royce Reed was fired by Basketball Wives this year, much to Howard's delight; he went to great lengths to prevent her from speaking his name on the show.

They've been battling over custody of their son for at least two and a half years, with no end in sight.
