Paranormal Activity 4 Scares Up Box Office Victory

by at . Comments

It may have paled in comparison to the opening of its predecessor, but Paranormal Activity 4 scared up some impressive box office receipts over the weekend.

The latest installment in this franchise banked $30.2 million, good enough for first place, although a significant drop from Paranormal Activity 3's $52.6 million first weekend in October 2011.

Argo, Ben Affleck's strong Oscar contender, came in second, while Tyler Perry's debut as an action hero didn't exactly blow audiences away.
