Jason Aldean is speaking out - again - about his "indiscretion" with Brittany Kerr.
The married 35-year-old country singer caused a stir by making out with the former American Idol hopeful and Charlotte Bobcats cheerleader at an L.A. bar.
He's already publicly apologized, but now he's opening up even further about the impact of the scandal, and how he and his family are doing in its wake.
"When it comes to all the things that have been going on lately, it's been a tough situation," he told CMT Insider. "I know everybody's kinda going to have their opinion."
"For the people that know me... and the people that are standing by us and supporting us, all I've got to say to them is thanks... It's been a really unfortunate thing."
"Really embarrassing, I think, more than anything."
He also explained why he chose to apologize head-on.
"You can handle it two ways: You can go hide and run, or you can get up and face it and deal with it ... that's kind of what we tried to do and just kind of move on."
As for his family, the crooner said he has a tough road ahead.
"The main thing is that me and my family are OK and everything's good," he shared. "I think it's been a tough deal. But I kind of said what I needed to say to them.
"Hopefully, the rest of it will be us dealing with it in private and trying to fix it."
Jason Aldean and Brittany Kerr were spotted kissing a crowded Sunset Strip bar two weeks ago, and he quickly apologized for cheating on his wife, Jessica Ussery.
"The truth is that I screwed up," he wrote.
Kerr also apologized for a "lapse in judgment" that was "not a representation of my true character" and deleted her Twitter account after being trashed by fans.
