Dancing with the Stars Results: A Shocking Elimination!

by at . Comments

What. A. Shocker.

Coming off an evening in which two couples earned perfect 30s on Dancing with the Stars, the ABC competition went ahead and eliminated one of those tandems last night.

Wait... what?!?

Sabrina Bryan and Louis van Amstel Routine

The results show kicked off with the three lowest-scoring duos from Monday - Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke, and Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy - all being deemed safe.

It then came down to Apolo Ohno and Sabrina Bryan as the pair of celebrities on the chopping block, despite their dazzling routines only 24 hours earlier.

And, in the end, Bryan got the boot.

Said the singer upon learning the news: “I’m grateful for this experience and Dancing With the Stars has been honestly an absolute dream. Thank you guys so much… I did my absolute best.”

WOW. You tell us, THGers: Did the right couple go home?

What a farce, I'm done with this show, the top scoring couple goes home, should not have happened.

If the judges would rate the dances properly maybe Kristie would have been next. Giving Kristie and Maks their highest score plus the 2 extra points for the group dance was a joke.

WHAT A MISTAKE!!! What is America Thinking??? One of the best dancers on the show AGAIN and gets the boot after scoring a perfect 30!!! Bring her back!!!! This show is more of a popularity contest than a talented dancing show.

I agree. It's not even about the dances anymore people vote for who they like not who is talented

I am so disgusted that Sabrina left and Kirstie Alley is STILL THERE! Vote for the BEST DANCER not the best comic. After all this is a dance competition not a roast.

The Voting is getting out of hand. The dancers that are excellent should never go home. Judges must change this. This is a dance contest not a popularity contest. The better dancers need to stay.

I personally vote for Kirstie & Maks...I love them and I think their great but I was sorry to see Sabrina & Louie go last night.Sometimes when a couple has high scores like Sabrina & Louie did some people assume they are safe and that they don't need the votes. I cant' say whether that is what happened or not but it has happened before.

I had high hopes that this would finally be the season of scores and votes that would match the performance. Sadly, my hopes were absolutely crushed last night, as well as Sabrina's and most of dwts fans. Given the hurricane along the east coast, I believe so many viewers were unable to watch or place their votes, in the interest of fairness that the producers should have foregone elimination last night. Next week because of the election they plan not to have an elimination. Hhmmm! Sounds like the producers got it backwards. Let Sabrina come back and eliminate someone next week!

I agree that there should have been no elimination this week. I am on the east coast and was not able to see DWTS since all that was on was the news. if my cable company didn't have a dvr for certain channels and shows i would have never been able to view that performance. It was beautiful!! we missed it and could not vote!! You are right that this is getting to be a populatiry contest and not a performance contest. It is really getting annoying. I agree that the producers should bring them back and allow them to continue with more performances! Doesn't the east coast count? totally unfair! BRING THEM BACK!!!!!

maryann..............I agree with you 100%....given the devastation along the east coast(where I suspect a large amount of her fan base is as well)should absolutely be taken into account......this show is "fixed"......it might be Mak's turn to win?

No-no-no the most talented are voteid off, it has no longer a talent contest but a populatity contest. How sad, don't even want to watch anymore.. What a joke!!!!

DWTS is getting to me as too much of a rigged competition. When a couple gets perfect scores and get eliminated, it's time for the producers to fix the grading process.

It is not really about who has a perfect score, it is more who does the viewers want to see next week. Otherwise, how do you explain Kristie Alley. She is not dancing at the same level as the others but, she is entertaining. Sabrina was voted off in week six last time so I guess that the viewers were right.

Dancing with the Stars Quotes

We should have started dancing with one arm waaay before.

Cristian de la Fuente [following his injury, trip to the hospital and subsequent stellar performance]

I am not the best dancer, and I have not been the best dancer from the beginning. I am happy we made it this far.
