In a decision less shocking than the inevitable Kanye West and Kim Kardashian sex tape/marriage/divorce, TLC has ordered additional episodes of its wildly popular hit.
"Alana and her family have become a pop culture phenomenon," Amy Winter, general manager of TLC, said in a statement. "What you see is what you get, and we are excited to share even more of their unbridled hilarity, sincerity and love with our viewers."
Look for a trio of upcoming holiday episodes based around the Thompsons, the network announced, one in honor of Halloween; another Thanksgiving; and another Christmas.
It's been assumed for weeks now that TLC would pick up the series, with the family allegedly pushing the network for a raise.
No word on whether or not they will receive a pay increase, but the first half of Season 1 will come to a close tonight with a special one-hour installment in which Alana will prep for a pageant and we'll see the arrival of Chickadee's two-thumbed baby Kaitlyn.
