The Voice Recap: Cassadee Pope Leaves Fab Four Far From "Torn"

by at . Comments

On the heels of news that NBC renewed The Voice for two more seasons came another round of blind auditions Tuesday. While the process is starting to drag, these singers made up for it.

In particular, Cassadee Pope made up for it.

Team Blake Shelton

Cassadee's powerhouse rendition of "Torn" got all four judges to turn around in rapid succession, a bit surprising given how discerning they've seemed with other capable vocalists.

Pope, who once toured with Fall Out Boy, ultimately went with Blake.

Charlie Rey also joined Shelton's ranks, following an understated but still compelling version of Michael Buble's "Home." From the smog shop to The Voice, watch out for Rey:

Team Adam Levine

The Maroon 5 frontman tried and failed to land both Cassadee and Charlie, even after proclaiming himself an "obviously" superior coach than his BFF Shelton, going 0-fer Tuesday.

Team Christina Aguilera

Xtina picked up Sylvia Yacoub, an Egyptian-born singer with Xtina's dream hair and a pretty dreamy voice, based on her take on Rihanna's hit single "Only Girl in the World." Watch:

Team Cee Lo Green

Once again, CLG added a singer, Amanda Brown, who did not get anyone else to turn around. Seems to be a pattern, though her take on Amy Winehouse's "Valerie" was quite good:

Who were your favorites from Tuesday night's round of auditions? Which coach is your favorite? And are you excited for the Blind Auditions to finally be over?

I agree. Weird, my friends and i were just talking about the same thing since last weeks episodes. It is so nice to watch such a positive show that doesn't thrive on people's flaws and negative aspect! Ive no fan of X factor or american idol. but been a super fan of the voice since Super Bowl Premiere. And I don't even have children yet. Thx for posting Florida doc

I LOVE the Voice!!! But am I the only one this season that is REALLY DISAPPOINTED with Blake Shelton's unfortunate choice of FOUL LANGUAGE this year?
One of the top reasons I was drawn to the Voice in the first place since the 2nd season (well other than my new found "MOM CRUSH on ADAM!) was
"feel so darn good" aspect & to see such talented people fulfilling the American Dream! Does MARK BURNETT turns everything to GOLD or what?
We now watch the Voice regularly as a family (out w/American Idol!) We are by no means ultra conservative, but as parents we do have a responsibility to censor what our children are exposed to & watch on tv.So I beg you Blake pls just tone down the language a bit on screen. You are so much better than humble, kind, talented & hilarious...We all love you BLAKE! Love & Peace to all!
