Having said goodbye to her mother for the final time last week, Robin Roberts took to Twitter this morning and bid farewell to her fans. But only for now.
In light of her pending bone marrow transplant to treat a rare blood disorder, the Good Morning America co-anchor Tweeted the following note a few hours ago:
Roberts is expected to miss two to three months as she deals with this surgery and subsequent recovery.
In her place, GMA will seat such major names as Katie Couric, Barbara Walters and Kelly Ripa alongside George Stephanopoulos. But they are merely keeping Roberts' spot warm, of course.
She has every intention of returning to the morning program and we have every intention of tuning in once she does. Get better soon, Robin! We're all pulling for you.
