Kelly Clarkson is in a happy, committed relationship with Brandon Blackstock.

But the original American Idol and one of the most talented vocalists out there was still able to channel one of the greatest breakup anthems of all-time during a concert stop in Tinley Park, Illinois on Saturday, taking yet another fan request and doing a great honor to Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me a River."

This is simply the latest cover for Clarkson this summer, who also took on Mariah Carey late last week and has sang her own versions of tracks by such heavyweights as TLC, Gotye and even Eminem over the past few weeks.

Watch, listen and marvel now:

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar from 19 Kids and Counting and Kirk Cameron are like totally friends. He's even appearing on their show - for the second time!

Controversial Kirk, who recently defended Todd Akin and said homosexuality is destructive to society, hangs with the Duggar fam on its most recent episode.

The Arkansas brood chilled with their favorite actor in D.C. The gang decides to go to Ben's Chili Bowl, one of President Obama's favorite places in the city.

"It's one of our favorite places, to go," Jim Bob says. "We have that in common."

Kirk actually appeared on the show when it was just 18 Kids and Counting (above). "We decided to get together tonight and have a little reunion," he says.

Amusingly, on said reunion in our nation's capital, a couple of fans want to take a picture ... with the Duggars. They have no idea who Kirk Cameron is.

"Do you know who he is?" Jim Bob asks. "He's Kirk Cameron." Kirk, for his part, just smiles and says nothing. As Michelle says, "It was quite funny."

Up next: the family should totally invite Kirk over to sample its Duggars Tater Tot Casserole recipe.

President Barack Obama says he doesn't take the unexpected ribbing Clint Eastwood gave him at the RNC personally. In fact, he remains a big fan of the actor.

“I am a huge Clint Eastwood fan,” the president told USA Today.

“He is a great actor, and an even better director,” the Commander-in-Chief continued. “I think the last few movies that he’s made have been terrific.”

Clint Eastwood, Chair

At the Republican National Convention, Eastwood roused the crowd with a 12-minute oratory that included a satirical interview with an invisible Obama.

The 82-year-old berated the President in the form of an empty chair. "Eastwooding" gave way to countless parodies and earned a place in the pop culture lexicon.

Coverage of Eastwood's speech in recent days eclipsed that of even Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who took the stage shortly thereafter.

Most observers considered the routine bizarre (for better or worse), with some critics calling it borderline vulgar. Obama, however, was not offended by it.

“One thing about being president or running for president - if you’re easily offended, you should probably choose another profession,” the president said.

Obama, who did Tweet a response to the RNC speech, said not to expect any similar acts at this week's Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C.

“I think we’ll be playing this pretty straight,” he said.

Who won the debate Thursday night?

The process of finding Tom Cruise a potential wife through the Church of Scientology was revealed in Vanity Fair's October cover story by Maureen Orth.

Shelly Miscavige, the wife of Scientology head David Miscavige, led the audition to find a suitable new Mrs. Cruise after his divorce from Nicole Kidman.

Actresses who were also Scientology members were called for the audition process held under the guise of "a new training film," according to the article.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, who were married from 2006-2012, met at some point after this; it's unclear if she was also screened in this fashion.

It's pretty disturbing in any case if it's even half true.

Iranian-born actress Nazanin Boniadi, a strong candidate, passed the first stage of the audition process and then underwent a month-long preparation.

After a makeover and signing an NDA, she was set up with Cruise in November 2004 ... quickly realizing what her "very important mission" consisted of.

During their relationship, she was audited and spent 2-3 hours purging any "negative thoughts about Tom." Things went more or less well ... for a time.

Cruise started to have a series of complaints about her - read the full Vanity Fair expose for an explanation of what - and the relationship soon fizzled.

Kim Kardashian made it clear in a recent interview with V: She wants to one day earn herself a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Is this in any way plausible? A chamber of commerce rep was asked that question by The Hollywood Reporter and essentially responded: No, not unless Kardashian, you know, actually accomplishes something.

Kim Kardashian Tongue

"Part of criteria in being honored is receiving awards such as Emmys, SAG Awards, Oscars, etc. in the category of television, live-stage performance or motion pictures," said this person in the know. "They have to have a career in the business of acting for five years or more."

Kardashian has (unfortunately) guest-starred on How I Met Your Mother and Drop Dead Diva. She'll even make an appearance in an upcoming Tyler Perry movie.

If that's not enough, would Kardashian's career in front of E! cameras qualify her for a spot alongside the legends of Hollywood Boulevard? Could reality stars ever be treated in such high regard? The rep offered a simple answer:

That's "not on our radar right now."

Sorry, Kim. We hate to be the bearer of such bad, obvious news. (Editor's Note: That's not true. We enjoy it.)

Joey Buttafuoco is writing a tell-all book about the Amy Fisher saga. Seriously.

Buttafuoco believes it's "clean the slate" and move on with his life ... by dredging up the infamous crime 20 years later? Anyway, it's gonna be called Closure.

"Everyone thinks they know [the story] but they really don't," says Joey.

Joey Buttafuoco Pic

Joey says the book his ex-wife Mary Jo Buttafuoco - who Amy Fisher shot in the face after Joey's affair with her in 1992 - wrote back in 2009 is not true.

It's an "angry account of an ex-wife who pieced together her own vision of why things happened. [She] had no knowledge of my life away from home."

Buttafuoco tells TMZ that "It's finally time for all of us to move on. My book is closure for everyone and our respected families. It's time."

Sure it is man.

Charlie Sheen celebrates his 47th birthday today, though the actor really got his gift on August 29.

That's when FX made the unprecedented decision to pick up Sheen's Anger Management sitcom for 90 more episodes, ensuring it goes into syndication and likely earning the actor another $100 million or so.

Perhaps we should all beat up women and take a lot of drugs.

Charlie Sheen at the Mic

Sheen, of course, has recently said he was never actually "winning" and has referred to his ridiculous episodes in early 2011 as a "psychotic break." That's a start toward some kind of redemption, we suppose.

Send Charlie a few birthday wishes if you'd like and also consider the following celebrities who turn a year older today: Shawn White (26), Garrett Hedlund (28), Nick Wechsler (34) and Dave Ramsey (52).

This week on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Rob's emotional journey continued with his therapy, while Kim finally grew a pair and apologized to Khloe.Robby Rob

Mostly. It was a pretty weaksauce apology, but an apology just the same.

The Jenner girls, meanwhile, found that modeling + school = hard work!

How did this stack up with last week's visit from Oprah in terms of entertainment value? We break it all down for you in THG's official +/- recap!

Premiere Sisters

"[Rob] is not in a very good mood hardly ever, so it makes me really sad, because there's something there that's just sad all the time." - Kris. Minus 5.

We pick up where we left off on Rob's therapist's couch and things are getting pretty darn emotional for the guy. Dude's really trying. Plus 15.

Khloe feels offended after Kim doesn't seem to remember her sister working at their dad's office. Cue contrived drama of the week. Minus 20.

Even though Kylie and Kendall Jenner both have full-time jobs, momager Kris wants them in high school, not home schooled. Smart. Plus 25.

Or not. Kris and Bruce eventually relent and decide to make the move to in-home tutoring. The girls are just growing up too fast ... Minus 50.

It's okay, John Carter. You can relax now.
