Tori Spelling: Proud of Baby Bump, Defending Bikini Pics

by at .  Updated at . Comments

Tori Spelling knows a thing or four about being pregnant. She's expecting her fourth child later this year.

And the actress has no shame showing off her figure, even when it's expanded in size and even when others take issue with her exposed bump, as has been the cast over the years when she dons skimpy swimwear.

But now Spelling has taken to her blog and told off the critics.

Tori Spelling Baby Bump

"A few months back, I caught a lot of flack on two separate occasions for bearing my baby bump in a bikini and monokini while spending the day poolside with my family," the actress wrote, defending these decisions:

"I'm super proud of my bump. Why should I be embarrassed and cover up something that's the greatest gift a woman can experience? A pregnant woman in any shape or size is beautiful!"

Spelling also think she's setting a positive example for her son and two daughters.

"I'm making a conscious choice to show my daughters that they can express themselves and be proud as a woman of their bodies. I don't ever want them to think that they should be ashamed of or self-conscious of their bodies, no matter what shape it's in."

Do you agree? Do you have a problem with Spelling showing off her baby bump in a bikini?

I am dismayed that anyone would criticize a woman for displaying her baby bump. Especially in an appropriate setting like pool side.

Just because she's proud of her "baby bump" doesn't mean the rest of society wants to see it. I love Tori Spelling, but and she fashionably proud and cover it up in public.

Show that belly! If overweight people can wear bikinis and speedos why should pregnant woman hide? Be proud!

Of course it's okay for a pregnant woman to wear a bikini! No one complained when Kourtney KarTRASHian or supermodels like Gisele Bunchen wear one, so why give Tori a hard time???
