I doubt aspirin saved her life. Call an ambulance; don't be shy. Medics have WAY better clot busters plus oxygen. How fast that starts determines how much of your heart dies and what kind of life you have afterwards. Unfortunately, many women and some men (me) don't have the usual symptoms: chest pain moving into neck or shoulder. Also look for pale skin, shortness of breath, weakness. BTW, 99% blockage is after the attack, probably from a clot blowing in from somewhere else.
