Lauryn Hill Mug Shot: All Business!

Lauryn Hill's very serious mug shot has emerged, two months after the singer pleaded guilty to not paying federal taxes between 2005-2007.

This is one of the more intense ones in our celebrity mug shots gallery.

The eight-time Grammy award-winner three years in prison. She is free on $150,000 bond and is scheduled to be sentenced November 27.

The Fugees singer responded to the charges by saying she had withdrawn from society in an effort to guarantee the safety of herself and her family.

Lauryn went on to rail against our culture's "climate of hostility, false entitlement, manipulation, racial prejudice, sexism and ageism" on Tumblr:

Over-commercialization and its resulting restrictions and limitations can be very damaging and distorting to the inherent nature of the individual.

I did not deliberately abandon my fans, nor did I deliberately abandon any responsibilities, but I did however put my safety, health and freedom and the freedom, safety and health of my family first over all other material concerns!

I also embraced my right to resist a system intentionally opposing my right to whole and integral survival.

Uh huh. You didn't pay taxes. At all. For three years. Have fun in there.

    This is terrible. Most people don't even know that you're not required by law to pay federal taxes so in actuality she's being imprisoned illegally. It's a sad story.

    The years obviously haven't been kind to her; Lauren looks old and haggard! I really think she's battling some type of mental illness.

    Oh please! Dont go all rightous! You didnt pay your taxes cuz "im a celebrity and we dont have to" Other celebs find ways to make things normal for their kids without being a bum! Get off your high horse and speak the truth, not some pseudo intellectual crap that no one believes!
