Kate Gosselin on Jon Poverty Claims: Come ON!
by Free Britney at .Jon Gosselin's claims he's broke and can't pay rent because he has to pay child support. This is apparently news to his ex-wife Kate Gosselin.
According to her attorney, he's not even on the hook anymore.
Cheryl Young, who has represented Kate in her ongoing legal battle with her ex, says Jon no longer has to pay Kate a dime for their kids.
Says Young: "I read Jon’s statement and was quite surprised to read that he claims to be struggling to keep his child support payments current."
"As of April 27, 2012, Kate voluntarily relieved Jon Gosselin of all current and future child support obligations for their eight children," she added.
The former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star claimed yesterday that he is strapped for cash and fearful of his ability to pay support - and stay out of jail.
"I can't afford to pay my rent and the domestic-relations staff tells me they will put me in jail unless I pay child support," Jon told Star Magazine.
"I am a single father who’s trying to make ends meet during a recession."Kate's lawyer disagrees with his claims, reiterating, “Kate and Jon talked and worked through all of these issues and she withdrew the child support.”
Young says he still must pay any amount left over from before that, "only paying a small amount on arrears" on what he owed prior to April 27.
Kate’s attorney defended her actions, as well: “The last thing Kate ever wanted was for the children to see their father in dire financial straits.”
For her part, Kate says she's made peace with Jon and the two are on much better terms these days, so his comments came a bit out of left field.

Where does all this hate come from? Looking after eight children is a huge job, and I applaud her. The kids are all healthy and doing well. Leave this poor woman alone. If you don't like her, quite reading about her.
Kate, Is a joke and a half! She chose.. to exploit those kids with the shows. She chose to treat John like a dog the way she spoke to him. He was her slave. She chose .. to quit nursing and not return to it. Now.. she is crying the blues.. when no one in Hollywood takes her seriously. She could not from what I read.. even get along with many on the set of dancing with the stars. Someone stated she was difficult to work with and had an attitude. She needs to step down from her high horse of delusion already and get over herself! She needs to snap back to reality.. aka why she lives in PA. Leave John alone and stop making him out to be the bad guy here. She is just as much to blame for the mess of life she created for herself.
Kate... Go back to where you came from...before you had the babies No one really cares about your life! If you need to make a living, go back to nursing. Stop trying to live off of your children, go back to making an honest living by working a REAL job.
People who go online and make hateful comments about others are much, much bigger losers than those they are being critical of. Look in a mirror, haters. You are pitiful.
Jon and Kate have a proven track record of bad behaviors, lying, and grifting from hard working church going Christians for their own money hungry lifestyles. Jon and Kate, why the need to constantly air your personal family business and change your stories so constantly? At least Octomom is honest and just puts the real truth out there with no smoke and mirror comments that are lies to garner public attention. GO AWAY, go away, go away. Your 15 minutes is long gone from your original petri dish investments in multiples you could not afford!
