Evelyn Lozada on Chad Johnson Arrest: Domestic Violence is NOT Okay!

Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada is speaking out for the first time since Chad Johnson's arrest for head-butting her, and she's not exactly downplaying events, standing by her husband or calling it a misunderstanding. She's pissed.

Evelyn told ET in a statement Tuesday:

"It is with great sadness and much trepidation that I release this statement addressing the domestic violence incident that happened this past Saturday."

"I am deeply disappointed that Chad failed to take responsibility for his actions and has made false accusations; it is my sincere hope that he seeks the help he needs."

"Domestic violence is not okay and hopefully my taking a stand will help encourage other women to break their silence as well. I'm grateful to my family, friends and fans for the outpouring of support during this difficult time."

Chad Johnson (formerly Ochocinco), has been charged with domestic battery and cut by the Miami Dolphins. VH1 canceled their reality show as well.

Johnson reportedly told police that it was Evelyn Lozada who head butted him, not the reverse, but the 911 call placed by their next door neighbor after the Saturday scuffle certainly does not leave that impression. Listen below:

    Its kind of sad to hear some of the comments. No matter what its never ok for a man to hit a woman period! Women fight all the time either by words or physically hitting each other, but what people need to remember is that he is a football player and he is stronger than her. Its sad that some people think its ok and make it seem as if they are so perfect. Im glad that she is standing up for herself. My prayers to Evelyn.     Domestic violence is not OK Evelyn on both sides, Evelyn; you can't punk a man like you punk those women on 'Basketball Wives', Evelyn. You can't get up in a man whores face to confront him about having condems in his car, Evelyn. Just because you marry a man it does not mean that he has to change what he does and how he does it, Evelyn. You knew that he was a whore when you met him, people don't change,Evelyn. You must learn that you can't just rant and rave at you significant other to get your point across, Evelyn. Grow up Evelyn that is the exact reason why you have not prospered; stop being a Groupie you are too old you have a daughter in college; get a job make your own money stop depending on the paychecks of the athletes you sleep with.
