Wow I can't believe the comments I am hearing not just from here all over.. Black and white comments about each other over a celebration dance.. Why is it that when someone does any type of celebration it always has to be a black and white issue comment.. Serena was so happy winning gold she celebrated I was rooting for her too and I am WHITE.. Stop the racist comments and celebrate the fact she won for the U.S.A. that is what is important not all this nonsense.. Just to add Gabby Douglas I love your hair and I think its beautiful and You deserve that gold medal... GO USA!!

The Williams sisters moved to Florida when in fourth grade. They would not know anything about the Crips and Bloods. Meanwhile, does Serena like to dance? Yes. Did she play absolutely incredible tennis during these Olympics? Yes!

It's really ironic. We get visiting professors to southern California all the time. Guess where they frequently want to visit first? Compton.

Serena and her sister Venus then went on to defeat the Czechs: No dances. Somebody needs to recognize superior athletic performance and stop sweating the little stuff.

ehh, how do you expect the english to understand aspects of american culture? i can see how people are irritated. i mean, it is the all england club. but, it wasnt wimbledon, it was the olympics.

There is no doubt that she knew what she was doing when she busted that move however harmless I don't think that it is something that anyone would do at the All England Club simply out of respect. She may as well have flashed out a hand sign giving a shout out to all the homies back on the Westside for that matter but that would have been too obvious, though I would doubt that anyone in the UK would know what the heck that is! Regardless of that I don't think she should have to apologize for showing her true colors just own up to it no big deal!

People need to be careful when throwing the term racism around. You all know we have an African American President right? The U.S. has come a long way. There is a time and a place for everything. I think the issue is more about the appropriateness of the dance in the specific circumstances. She is representing the United States of America at Wimbledon Center Court. There are a lot of traditions and expectations that go along with playing in that particular venue. She reinforced what much of the world already thinks about the United States...that we do whatever we want.

Brad what is disrespectful about what she did. Respecting one self is to be true to who you are and thats what she did. She didnt celebrate the way others would she celebrate from her heart. Why every thing some one do that is different to the other stars have to be a problem?

I've seen the Laker girls perform the same dance before..where's the articles about that?? Just couldn't write anything positive if you tried. WOW!

It has nothing to do with race Jahmal. Why do people always bring race into the argument. It's about respect. For ones self and others.

I am embarrassed for her!

Train wreck? Are you kidding me. She just won gold in women's singles and doubles. Some of you have serious issues.
