Chris Brown's Mom to Rihanna: TELL THE TRUTH

Joyce Hawkins, Chris Brown's mom, took to Twitter right after Rihanna's tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey and posted a series of cryptic messages.

Fans suspect they may have been directed at Hawkins' son's ex-girlfriend, especially after Rihanna spoke extensively about their relationship on OWN.

Fighting tears, Rihanna admitted Sunday that Chris is the "love of my life", that he was her "best friend", that they still love each other and are very close.

Hawkins, who has reportedly remained close to the singer since her relationship with Brown ended in 2009, then posted this series of messages:

  • "TELL THE TRUTH AND SET YOURSELF FREE"
  • "NOT UNTIL YOU TELL THE TRUTH WILL YOU EVER BE FREE!!!!!! PEACE SOMETIMES COMES WITH A PRICE"
  • "DID YOU SAY SOMETHING? DID IT HELP ANYONE?"

Only Joyce knows for sure what she meant and who those Tweets were directed toward, but the timing couldn't have been a coincidence, right?

Some have speculated that Joyce wanted Rihanna to tell the truth - that reports of a rekindled romance may actually be true. What do you think?

    Yes they should people go thru rough times like that. Were only human. Either it will make a relationship stronger over time or well. Bottom ___ to me it seems like their getting stronger. Forgive and move on.

    I think that they must get back together because they have been though a lot! But they still have that strong love for each other. That it just amazing!!and yeah I'm not a fun of Rihanna I just don't like her but I can see what she has with my boy CHRiS is BiG!!! I support you Chris in any choice you make " Love you chris" Team Breezy!

    You must not understand what Love mean " well their love " I don't know them personally but the love I see is strong and its getting more serious, so by me saying that yes they should be together.

    I think she meant tell the truth of what really happened. No matter what chris is wrong for wat he did and i hope he gets help. But if rihanna was beating the shit out of chris this whole entire time and maybe he could not take it anymore and he blacked out (that sometimes does happen) then i would not label chris the abuser and the monster. in that care rihanna is the abuser so y wud i have sympathy for an abuser when they get their ass whooped. People are picturing this incident as the stereotypical scenario of domestic violence and it may not be. Just consider the other side is all I am saying.
