Arie Luyendyk, Jr. on Tabloid Reports: Come On!

The Bachelorette finale that featured a tear-filled engagement bewteen Emily Maynard and Jef Holm also endeared millions to Arie Luyendyk, Jr.

While the majority of viewers are happy for - and confident in - Emily and Jef, the response to Arie Luyendyk has been overwhelmingly positive.

In other words, contrary to what the tabloids would have you believe.

The runner-up, who was the subject of wild, crazy and sometimes hurtful gossip reports throughout the season, has finally taken them to task.

Numerous magazines have painted Arie as a womanizer who only went on the show for publicity; an ex-girlfriend of his even got in on the act.

In addition, "insiders" claimed Emily Maynard was dumped by Arie despite wanting him to receive the final rose, with Jef winning by default.

Tuesday, Arie Luyendyk, Jr., who has wished Emily and Jef well, took to his Twitter page to address the stories, albeit without specifics:

“It's been brought to my attention what all the tabloids are saying. IT'S ALL FALSE, I mean where do they come up with this crap?! #carryon.”

Carry on he will ... very possibly into The Bachelor driver's seat.

It seems all but a lock that Arie or Sean Lowe will be the next Bachelor, and given the former's popularity, you have to think he has the edge.

    Absolutely agree with you June! I thought Ali's ex Roberto was going to be the next one though. I think they need to come up with someone totally unknown! Just my opinion

    Charlie Maher from Trista season should be next bachelor or Cody,Jef's co-worker from people. Arie would just be another makeout season and Sean is to boring.

    SEAN ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!! Emily was a fool to dump him since I have a feeling by Christmas Emily & Jeff will be over. They are still in the honeymoon phase, once that's over and Jef is expected to be a responsible adult, it will be over. The only reason Ben & Courtney are still supposedly together is Courtney won't give up the ring. But I guarantee once Courtney is allowed to keep the ring whether she and Ben are still together she's dumping Ben. After all, why aren't they appearing like JP & Ashley are on various Bachelor things onscreen? Until I see them appear onscreen I will beleive they aren't really stil together. JP & Ashley, I'll give you 50/50 odds on us seeing them get married. It all comes down to once they start planning the wedding and whether JP's mom likes the plans. If she doesn't I have a feeling, it will be over since if his mom ain't happy there will be no wedding.

    Sorry Savannah the only thing I have heard that it is rumored he is dating this model. I have not heard him admit it at all. I would like to know where the pictures are of them. You would think somebody by now what have photograph them together at least once. Not buying it. I guess only time will tell.
