It is such a shame that such a good person, good reporter, good host to the Today Show has been replaced by a power hungry not very nice replacement. Matt has mellowed under her tutelage but it seems his thorns have not been removed. She is sharper than he is. She truly cares and to have this happen to her is indeed very sad. Sad that NBC let this happen. Many of us in that older realm truly started our mornings with her but some of us will seek and find other stations to watch the morning genre. I hope their ratings go down dramatically. Ann is a genuine, caring, generous, kind person as opposed to her past co-host. Let's hope that this is one door closes and even bigger and better doors open. Maybe someday she will have her own show where her true talents are appreciated.

Ann Curry was a class act. She brought a calm wisdom to the Today show and this started my day in a positive manner. Perhaps my demographic is not profitable for NBC (over 60) but I would venture to say that a majority of the Boomer generation felt a connection to Meredith and Ann which cannot be found with the bright eyed homogenous next tier. The younger replacements are smart and personable but just not a comfortable way for us to start the morning. I wish Ann a future of professional success and fulfillment.

I refuse to watch the Today Show now. Haven't watched it since Ann's farewell. I believe Ann was getting too popular and Matt was jealous.

In my book Lauer is a back stabber. Looks like when he negotiated his new contract he said getting rid of Ann Curry was a stipulation. Thats alright though Matt because the old saying what goes around comes around and you will certainly get yours in some form sooner or later and I am afraid it will be much harsher than what happened to Ann.
