While I'm proud of her, it's sad to me that it ended this way. Also, we'll never know what went on behind closed doors-only they do. And that's as it should be.

Yes, good for her for moving on. However, just remember, her father is a divorce lawyer. So, you can bet Daddy was guiding the way. Not many women have the luxury of having your own father as a divorce attorney. Most of us leave with very little money, resources, good paying jobs, etc. Now THAT is real courage!!!

sorry, deeann, but it's hard to move on fast after years of watching poor katie holmes look like she was the victim of psychological abuse and probably more. Let people who watched this travesty of wedded bliss by tom cruise gloat and enjoy it for just a little while. We are loving that holmes pulled on fast one on this master manipulator and his scientology minions. And the fact that cruise capitulated so fast shows that he clearly has a lot to hide, scientology was quaking under the crappy publicity, and holmes had him way over a barrel. I'm so proud of her. Others are, too, and we get prouder every time a story showing how smart she really is comes out. If she can do it, with everything stacked against her, maybe everyday women in bad relationships can do it, too.
