I have to be honest,.the Trilogy was okay as a piece of fiction. I only read the books due to the hype. I kept waiting for OMG factor but it never came. I was more invested in the background of christian as opposed to the repetitive sex scenes, which to be fair were pretty tame. I liked the boos as a bit of escapism but don't knoe if I'd watch a movie as no doubt it would lose any edge the books depict and would be shiny and happy. As for andrew Garfield portraying Christian, this must be a joke, he looks like the tennis player Andy Murray.
Matt Bomer could be great for the role of Christian Grey. He's hot and he looks great in a suit...I sure hope they make it an adult movie otherwise it will suck! The best part of the books is the need and the lust for each other...
This is an ADULT book...so therefore should also be an ADULT movie. Movies dont always have to be directed towards a teen audience. I think an hbo show could do well, they could dig deeper into the characters and such. But good luck trying to find someone who will live up to all the ridiculously hot expectations that is Christian Grey! :)
It is a huge stretch to believe Hollywood could translate this story effectively onto the big screen into a Premium Channel series. And just looking at the list of potential actors confirms my belief. While the storyline carries growth opportunity it will not be the same. Hollywood's track record has proven that. I will leave it all with the author and look forward to her next work.
