Chick-fil-A Responds to Ed Helms Tweet, Gay Marriage Controversy
by Hilton Hater at .When it comes to its beef with actor Ed Helms, Chick-fil-A is not playing chicken.
The company has issued an immediate response to The Office star's recent Tweet, which took Chick-fil-A to task for its President admitting he is opposed to gay marriage.
"The Chick-fil-A culture and service tradition in our restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect - regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender," the statement reads.
"We will continue this tradition in the over 1,600 restaurants run by independent Owner/Operators. Going forward, our intent is to leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena."
This controversy erupted after Helms responded to Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy telling the press his company operated on "biblical principles" and, as a result of such a public stance, Chick-fil-A has lost him as a customer.

I didn't hear any hate in Mr. Cathy's answer. Only a man standing up for his belief. Sounds like if I don't agree with you I must hate you. This coming from people that say that we should all be able to express ourselves with being attacked or persecuted.
Chick-Fil-A (Mr. Cathy) perhaps should 1. Read his Christian Bible. I suggest he check out Samual 1 and the story of David and Jonathon. Therein, God blesses an eternal union: He blesses the love of TWO MEN. 2.I am a professor of BOTH genetics and religion. Who one love is NOT a choice. It is genetic and involves thousands of genes which interplay in very complex ways. Consider the studies of identical twins with identical DNA! One is gay - so is the other... 3. Mr. Cathy is trying to boost his business by alienating one group and courting another. Anyone remember Anita Bryant and Florida Orange Juice? How did that one go over for the orange juice industry?
