Charlie Sheen to Judge American Idol?!?

by at .

We can't imagine this is real, but it's certainly intriguing.

With rumors circulating that American Idol may hire an entirely new judging team on Season 12 - Will it include Adam Lambert? Miley Cyrus? Nicki Minaj? - producer Nigel Lythoe has reportedly given TMZ two names of who he'd love to see behind the table:

Jerry Lewis... and Charlie Sheen.

Give his sordid/colorful/ridiculous history, we somehow doubt Lythgoe would ever place Sheen in charge of a show that targets teenagers as its core audience, but the actor told the site he'd be up for it. Depending on certain conditions.

"If the numbers move the needle AND 'Idol' matches 20% of my weekly salary for Autism Speaks, JDRF, and the Boys and Girls Club... then the hell with it," Sheen told TMZ. "As we say, pour the smoke."

Charlie, only you say that.

What do you think? Should American Idol hire Charlie Sheen as a judge?

I guess American Idol's looking to shake things up for more ratings or kill the show. I love the show and I watch it all the time and I’m willing to see what happens if Sheen takes over. I’ve enjoyed the latest episodes of AI being able to use my Auto Hop feature which skips commercials. The Hopper will automatically record all the PrimeTime Anytime shows. The day after my PrimeTime shows air I have the option to watch or to skip commercials with the touch of a button. I work for Dish and I’m glad a coworker showed me this great new feature, now my family and I can save time without commercials and killing remote batteries.
