Annette Roque to Attend London Olympics, Keep Suspicious Eye on Matt Lauer

Matt Lauer will soon head to London in order to cover the Summer Olympics for The Today Show and, according to a new report, wife Annette Roque will attend the event along with her three kids.

A fun family vacation? Not exactly.

Sources tell Radar Online that Roque continues to be wary of her husband, specifically his relationship with reporter Natalie Morales, and that she's only headed overseas to keep "tabs" on Lauer.

"Annette and the kids will all be going to the Olympics so she can keep very close tabs on Matt," an insider says of the couple. "Matt and his family will be staying at a different hotel than the rest of the cast and crew. Annette generally doesn't like to accompany Matt when he travels for work, but... [she] has made no bones about the fact she will be keeping close tabs on Matt."

Roque actually filed for divorce from Lauer in 2006 - while pregnant with the couple's third child - but then recanted.

An earlier story claimed Roque once again would have filed if Morales had been named new co-anchor of Today. The gig instead has gone to Savannah Guthrie.

    I always thought Ann Curry was too good for the Today Show. She is a true journalist and very intelligent. Matt might feel a wee bit insecure with her. Savannah is an air head and giggles like a little girl so perhaps she will fit right in with the rest of the giggly crew. Sidebar: I don't believe Natalie Morales and Matt have any kind of attraction for each other. I just don't see it!

    Matt your past has finally caught up with you, Your wife who has had your children now has to keep a eye on you. Matt you maybe need to start drinking like Kathy Lee, so you can not be blamed for your actions. There is no reason to be drinking that early in the AM. Nat is a very attractive woman be she does have an husband and kids of her own. Quit letting the little guy think for the big guy.
