American Idol Shakeup: Randy Jackson Out, Mariah Carey In?

And now an Us Weekly source confirms that American Idol may go all out with a judging panel shakeup, by moving Randy Jackson from the main table to some kind of mentoring role.
"[Show producers] think they need to freshen everything up now," the Idol insider tells the tabloid, adding that Mariah Carey is in "serious talks" to replace Jackson and the deal may even get done shortly.
As previously reported, other big names up for the panel include Katy Perry and Adam Lambert. But back to Mariah:

I’m not to fond of Randy Jackson, but I’m going to love me some Mariah Carey. I love her and she’s a true American Idol who’s got some talent. I think she can provide valuable guidance on the show which will bring back ratings. I know I’m going to love watching Mariah as much as I enjoy skipping commercials with my Auto Hop feature. I love having the ability to skip commercials on AI which has enhanced my experience. The Auto Hop feature will allow me to enable the commercial skip or watch like normal. This was some of the best news to hear from my coworker at Dish. If you want to watch any of the ads you can always skip back and watch them, even if the Auto Hop is enabled. This allows me to save money on batteries for the remote, since I won’t have to fast forward like I did.

Mariah can be really bitchy and it could be fun, but there's a chance people would hate her too. She can be v condescending at times.
