It's the hot American Idol talk making all the rounds and creating all the buzz: Adam Lambert is under serious consideration to be a Season 12 judge.

There's just one problem: this is news to Adam Lambert.

Speaking to U.K. radio station Capital FM yesterday, the former runner-up sounded excited but cautious about the possibility, referring to it as a "beautiful rumor."

"I'm just hearing about this today," Adam said. "Listen, if – and I say 'if' with a capital I-F – if they were to approach me and if they were to say, 'We want you to be a judge on the show,' I would love that. I would jump at the chance.

"I owe my career to American Idol. I mean, if it weren't for American Idol, I doubt that... I would be sitting here with you... I think it would be really exciting to be sitting at a judging panel and trying to help people reach their dreams."

Aside from Lambert, chatter persists that Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj and others are up for American Idol judging spots. Would you wanna see Adam on the panel?

For some one who clearly dislikes Adam Lambert, you sure are keeping close tabs on him. Spend your time wisely, follow someone you actually like!!!
Adam would an awesome judge!!

To the poster who responded to me: I was responding to the Cheater's comment about Adam cheating on American Idol. Adam was not dating anyone during the period he was on the AMA's, so while he was kissing a guy, that was strictly for entertainment purposes. Just like Gaga breaking all those glass bottles.

To Cheater: Please get your facts straight. Adam had a heated argument with his sweet boyfriend. His AMA performance was on l0:55 PST, EST, and 9:55 CST. So, singing about raping women, breaking alcohol bottles, and women grabbing crotches is OK, but not man-on-man kissing? How did Adam cheat on AI?

How many years experience did Steven, JLO, and Randy have? Were they very good judges? In most cases, experience does matter. In Adam's case, it is what he can bring to the judges table. There is a reason why he is being considered.

Unlike many pop stars of today, Adam was classically trained and had rigorous voice lessons so he could understand how to best use and preserve his "instrument". He was in musical theater as a child and toured in the musical Hair as well as being the understudy for the lead in "Wicked". He is incredible knowledgable about all genres of music and would give great input to the contestants on song selection, styling and other technical points. Two minutes of experience is hardly a description of Adam. Might be good to check up on your facts. Our world could do with factual, accurate commenting rather than from the gut personal preferences and opinions.

Adam Lambert has studied, performed, and sung music since he was 10 years old. He has appeared in dozens of theatre productions as a child, in high scool, and in Europe touring in the musical Hair. He appeared, to rave reviews, in The Ten Commandments in Los Angeles. In 2010 he orchestrated a personal sold-out world tour of over 100 shows. He is currently touring in Europe as the frontman with Queen, who chose him for his experience, showmanship, and his ability to sing any genre. And those are only the high-lights. Two minutes of experience? A little research shows otherwise.

Adam is articulate and funny and he has a sincere love of music. When he was a mentor on Idol, he gave the contestants specific advice to improve their performances, and he was honest but kind. He would make a great judge.
