Adam Lambert to Judge American Idol Season 12?

Jennifer Lopez might be out - and a former fan favorite could be in.

With rumors once again swirling around the exit of J. Lo, and with the contracts of all three American Idol judges up, E! News quotes an insider who says Adam Lambert is under consideration as a Season 12 judge.

"They have been talking about Adam for over a month," this Idol insider claims. "He personifies the show, and will be a popular choice right from the start. He knows what it's like to be on the receiving end of the judges' comments, he has a human touch, and they know they can't go wrong if they bring him on. He would be able to bring a unique perspective to the show. People love him."

American Idol is coming off a disappointing season, ratings-wise, and the source adds that Randy Jackson and Steve Tyler aren't necessarily guaranteed to return, either. The Aerosmith singer's plans are "up in the air," while:

"Randy is great, but he's part of the old Idol. They want to keep the soul of the show but have a new look, and for that reason he may well not be part of the new line up."

    I would watch the show faithfully if Adam was on the show. He is so talented that he would make a great judge. Maybe be the next Simon Cowell and be honest and direct in his comments. He'd been through it and could pick the best of the best.

    Adam Lambert is perfection. He sets up the stage before a performance.He leaves nothing to chance. No one can sing like him. He is just all around the best male singer. When you go to one of his shows you know that you will leave happy. I hardly hear Adam on radio. What is the matter with these people? Don't they know talent when they see it? Adam is the best candidate for Judge in Idol.Mariah and Adam will work well together.
