Nicki Minaj Pushes for FREE Universal Health Care

by at . Comments

Yvette Wilson passed away from cancer a few days ago, and while the actress' death has left Nicki Minaj in tears, it's also left her irate. At the American health care system.

In a series of Tweets posted not long after Wilson died, Minaj went off on current policy and even addressed President Barack Obama at one point.

“What’s sad is that when Yvette was bringing home the bacon, the gov’t was probably taking millions. On her deathbed though, #Nowheretobefound," Nicki wrote. "That should be a God given right! Even with Obama Care, too much involved. Just give FREE health care to all. @barackobama What can we do?

"@BarackObama I wouldn’t mind the millions they took if it was going to healthcare. Why should a poor person struggle to pay for MEDS sir?"

The President, of course, is too busy helping Amanda Bynes avoid a DUI charge, but Member Questo of The Roots replied to Minaj's Tweets with one of his own:

“@NICKIMINAJ i personally know that the white house administration would LOVE for you to use ur tweet power to raise health care awareness."

Are you in favor of universal health care, readers?

Guys, someone still needs to pay for it. If everyone paid equal taxes towards universal healthcare, fine. It still costs money. 2 choices: Find insurance, or agree to pay the taxes Either way, people need to contribute. Would you be able to work without compensation?

Something needs to be done.Ive worked at my job ten years and medical ins offerred to management team only.unfair.

We have free healthcare in Canada.I believe other countries have universal care. Its terrific but it can take 2wk to see doctor!

Nothing is "free". How can people expect doctors, who've spent 20+ years total in school, to provide a "free" service? Now, I know some places over charge people and that's not right, and drug companies are the worst offenders, but still, all that research, testing, the chemistry and education involved......that should be "free"? Somehow, the services need to be paid for. I pay my insurance plus a co-pay for services. I'm still paying bills from before I had insurance, slowly but surely. I'm sorry but it costs money to care for patients and someone needs to foot the bill. Part of the reason it costs so much now is because people get care and then NEVER PAY. People who abuse the ER for their stuffy nose, clogging it up and NEVER PAY. Stuff's not free people.
