Katy Perry Goes Gatsby on Red Carpet

Katy Perry was channeling her inner flapper Tuesday night.

The star, looking like a character straight out of The Great Gatsby, turned heads at a City of Hope event in Los Angeles with finger waves, a funky head piece in her hair, a long pearl necklace and a pink-ish dress that resembled a neglige.

Once inside the event - at which the City of Hope's Music And Entertainment Industry Group honored Bob Pittman at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA - Perry changed into a simpler black dress ... leaving us wanting more '20s.

    cant get into her i think media overrates her.she does not deserve to beat mike jackson record as most num1 songs on one album.seems like its easier to get a num1 song.
