Good comments, Syed. It is NOT just the name of the song. We should at least be clear about that. She is calling those men that word, b/c they are in Paris and she was attempting to be clever.

It's not about the name of the song, do be stupid! THEY ARE IN PARIS!!!! She was going for a clever play on words, people just play by the rules, you know better but you are always looking for a chance to get away with it, people like Jay Z and Kanye can afford to own the N-word, but they do mostly whites a mis service because they make them think this horrible scar on our society is healed but it not. Plain and simple stop playing dumb it was a very stupid thing, but she an actor not the Dali Lama.

Paltrow saw an opportunity to make a play on words and went for it, without thinking it all out. (If one dismisses The Dream's claim that he is the one who tweeted.) But her gaffe is clearly more related to comfort level than racism. She would have had more cover of course if Jay-Z and Kanye had been the ones in the picture -- but even so, there could have been problems depending on the phrasing. The word is very tricky. Artists also have to accept some responsibility that when they make a hit song with the word in the title that people of all races just might be inclined to use it. Duh.

I'm sick of black people always playing the race card. Get the hell over yourselves. If anything YOU keep racism alive!! Jumping over any little thing that you perceive as "threat" or "insult" to your ethnicity.are you guys really that insecure or stupid? For example: a celebrity posting the n word when it's the name of a song! Jeez. get with the times and get a life.
