The Voice Recap: Tony Lucca Has 99 Problems (and Xtina IS One)

The four finalists on the second season of The Voice - Jermaine Paul, Tony Lucca, Chris Mann and Juliet Simms - gave their last performances Monday.

The winner will be announced this evening, based solely on audience votes. No coaches' input. Who will emerge victorious on the singing competition?

Not Tony Lucca, if Christina Aguilera has anything to say about it.

Tensions continued to flare between Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine's protege, a former Mousketeer who Xtina has had it out for all season.

After Tony Lucca offered a bluesy take on Jay-Z's "99 Problems" for his final performance, Xtina criticized him over the hip hop classic's lyrics.

The chorus? "I got 99 problems but a b!tch ain't one."

"Your beautiful wife and daughter and family are here and I just thought, you know, the lyrical connotation was a little derogatory towards women."

"It's called a metaphor," Levine responded, insisting that the line was referring not to women, but "life getting at you, things bringing you down."

"We're not referring to women. We're referring to everything."

Interestingly, it is also widely believed that Jay-Z, in addition to that metaphor, was referring to a literal b!tch - a dog of the drug-sniffing variety - that he narrowly avoided being busted by back in his drug-dealing days.

In any case, Aguilera had the last word.

"This is a real man [who] respects women," she said of her own team member, opera singer Chris Mann, who performed her song "The Voice Within" before closing out his run on The Voice with Josh Groban's "You Raise Me Up."

Team Blake's Jermaine Paul chose R. Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly" for his swan song.

Paul, who gained experience as a backup singer for Alicia Keys, gave an impassioned performance that left his mentor, Blake Shelton, "speechless."

"My heart is in my throat right now," Shelton said. "My job on this show ... is to be a coach, but I continue to feel like I learn things from you."

The last performance of the evening came from Juliet Simms, who was battling "throat and health issues," according to coach Cee Lo Green.

Simms tackled Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Free Bird" to close out the show, after Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" and Steppenwolf's "Born to Be Wild" (with Green).

Will it be enough? It's all in America's hands now.
